Screenprinting Catcher

Steady day-shift work at the end of the screen printing press. No experience needed, we train you.

Landes runs screen printing for promotional and retail apparel out of our Houston shop. The catcher works at the end of the press, taking finished garments off, checking the print, and packing them out. It is a good entry point into printing — no experience required.

What you will do:

• Take printed garments off the press or dryer belt and keep pace with the press
• Check every piece for a clean print — full coverage, correct placement, no smudges or misregistration
• Pull misprints out before they go in the box, and tell the operator what you are seeing
• Fold, count, and pack by size, design, and order
• Label and stage finished cartons for shipping
• Keep the catch area, dryer end, and boxes organized and safe

What we are looking for:

• Show up on time, every day — the press does not run without a full crew
• Ability to stand for a full shift and work at the pace the press sets
• A good eye. You are the last person who sees the print before a customer does
• Comfortable working near a dryer in a warm shop
• No printing experience needed. Screen print, embroidery, warehouse, or kitchen experience all translate
